Troubleshooting and Set-Up Guide: Styletech Mice

Getting Started

Whether you're using a wired or wireless mouse from Styletech, getting it set up is quick and easy. Follow these steps to get your mouse up and running.

1. Wired Mouse Setup (Styletech Wired Mouse)

Step 1: Unbox and Inspect

  • Ensure your mouse is free of any visible damage or defects.

  • Check that the 1.5-meter USB cable is intact.

Step 2: Connect to Your Computer

  • Plug the USB connector into an available USB-A port on your computer.

  • The mouse should automatically be detected, and your operating system will install any necessary drivers.

Step 3: Test Your Mouse

  • Move the mouse to see if the cursor responds on the screen.

  • Use the left, right, and scroll buttons to ensure they are functioning properly.

Step 4: Adjust Settings (Optional)

  • You can adjust mouse settings such as pointer speed, double-click speed, and button configuration through the mouse settings in your operating system (usually found in the Control Panel for Windows users).

Troubleshooting:

  • Cursor Not Moving? Ensure the USB cable is securely connected. Try a different USB port if needed.

  • Buttons Not Responding? Check your system's mouse settings or restart your computer.

2. Wireless Mouse Setup (Styletech Silent Wireless Mouse & Multi-Mode Bluetooth Wireless Mouse)

Step 1: Unbox and Inspect

  • Ensure the mouse and included USB dongle (for wireless connection) are undamaged.

  • Insert the included battery into the mouse.

Step 2: Connect via USB Dongle

  • Insert the USB dongle into an available USB-A port on your computer.

  • Switch on the mouse using the power button (if available).

Step 3: Connect via Bluetooth (Multi-Mode Models Only)

  • Turn on your mouse and press the Bluetooth pairing button (usually located on the bottom of the mouse).

  • Go to the Bluetooth settings on your computer or mobile device.

  • Select "Styletech Mouse" from the list of available devices and pair.

Step 4: Switch Between Devices (Multi-Mode Models Only)

  • To switch between devices, press the mode switch button on the mouse. You can connect up to 3 devices via Bluetooth and 1 device via the USB dongle.

Step 5: Test Your Mouse

  • Move the mouse to see if the cursor responds.

  • Click the buttons to ensure functionality, and try scrolling with the scroll wheel.

Step 6: Adjust Settings (Optional)

  • Adjust the DPI (sensitivity) setting if your mouse supports it by pressing the DPI adjustment button.

  • Modify button functions, pointer speed, or scrolling behavior through your device’s mouse settings.

Troubleshooting:

  • Mouse Not Responding? Ensure the mouse is switched on and that the battery is properly inserted. Try reconnecting the dongle or re-pairing via Bluetooth.

  • Cursor Lag or Jitter? Ensure there are no obstacles between the mouse and the dongle, or switch to a different USB port.

  • Bluetooth Connection Issues? Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your device, and try re-pairing the mouse.

With these steps, your Styletech mice should be ready to enhance your productivity and comfort across any device or operating system. For further assistance, refer to your product’s user manual or contact Styletech customer support.
